PURPOSE: To compare glaucoma severity with ocular microcirculation, measured with either laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) or optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA). METHODS: We retrospectively studied 82 eyes of 82 open-angle glaucoma (OAG) patients who underwent same-day LSFG and OCTA examinations, with 20 eyes of 20 healthy subjects

Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) utilizes the laser speckle phenomenon for the measurement of ocular blood flow in a noninvasive manner . LSFG provides the mean blur rate (MBR), which is proportional to blood velocity and has been used for the measurement of relative differences in blood flow in the optic nerve head (ONH) [ 18 – 20 ].

Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) is a noninvasive technique that can measure relative blood flow velocity in the optic fundus contributed by the ophthalmic artery, the main first branch originating from the internal carotid artery (ICA). The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of ocular b … PURPOSE: Innovative laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) enables noninvasive evaluation of retinal microcirculation and the usefulness has been reported in the field of ophthalmology. LSFG has allowed us to measure the real time changes of retinal blood flow without pupillary dilatations and contrast media. In the present study, we investigated a novel technique to measure CBF based on laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) in healthy subjects. Methods: This study included 31 eyes of 31 healthy, non-smoking subjects aged between 19 and 74 years.

No additional procedure has been developed for this disorder. Recently, ganglionectomy using application of laser speckle flow graph has been evaluated for the treatment of compensatory sweating. We report our results of ganglionectomy for facial blushing as a redo surgery. Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) allows for the quantitative estimation of blood flow in the optic nerve head, choroid, retina and iris in vivo.

One indicator of ocular blood flow is the mean blur rate (MBR) [ 5 ]. LSFG is used for research on various diseases in adult patients, such as glaucoma [ 5 , 6 ], retinal vein occlusion [ 7 ], and diabetic retinopathy [ 8 ]. Objectives: Laser speckle flowgraphy is a new method that enables the rapid evaluation of foot blood flow without contact with the skin.

Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) allows for quantitative estimation of blood flow in the optic nerve head (ONH), choroid and retina, utilizing the laser speckle phenomenon. The basic technology and clinical applications of LSFG-NAVI, the updated model of LSFG, are summarized in this review. For developing a commercial version of LSFG, the special area sensor was replaced by the ordinary charge Twenty-four eyes of 24 subjects with BRVOME were treated with the intravitreal injection of ranibizumab (IVR) for at least 6 months. We measured mean blur rate (MBR) in the optic nerve head (ONH) and vessel density (VD) in the macula with laser speckle flowgraphy and optical coherence tomography angiography, respectively. The moorFLPI-2 blood flow imager uses the laser speckle contrast technique to deliver real-time, high-resolution blood flow images, providing outstanding performance in a wide range of pre-clinical and clinical research applications.

This is based on a change in patterns of the speckles of the laser light reflected from a retina and choroid [18, 19]. Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) is an ophthalmologic equipment that qualitatively detects the blood flow of the optic nerve head, which is known to be related with cerebral microcirculation. LSFG can also measure the mean blur rate, which quantitatively calculates the blood flow.

Its spatial resolution is determined by the laser wavelength, the quality of the optics, the optical properties of the tissue, and the amount of pixel averaging to estimate the speckle contrast.

Introduction. Laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) uses the laser speckle phenomenon in estimating ocular circulation in living eyes in a noninvasive manner.1 The current LSFG instrument yields the mean blur rate (MBR), which is a quantitative index of blood flow velocity in target tissues.

Methods: This study included a total of 15 eyes of 15 healthy Japanese subjects (mean age, 41.7 ± 17.0 years). 2019-09-12 · Purpose: To investigate the relationship between laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG) and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) measurements of the peripapillary retina and optic nerve head (ONH) in normal eyes and eyes with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). The skin blood flow on both sides was compared using laser speckle flowgraphy (LSFG).

Objectives: Laser speckle flowgraphy is a new method that enables the rapid evaluation of foot blood flow without contact with the skin. We used laser speckle flowgraphy to evaluate foot blood flow in peripheral arterial disease patients before and after surgical revascularization. Materials and methods: A prospective single-center study.

The retina is illuminated with a diode laser spot through a retinal camera, and its speckle image is detected by an area sensor.
